Tighten LoPro Tremolo Arm?

I'd like the arm to stay where I put it, rather than fall downwards! How does it normally behave? Because it's hard to do a flutter when the arm points towards the floor

Re: Tighten LoPro Tremolo Arm?

Get some teflon tape and cut about 1/4" and wrap it in the grooves where the bushings go (it should be about 1.5 turns once the teflon is stretched). If the teflon goes beyon 1.5-2 turns, it's too much and the arm won't go in once the bushings are back on the arm.

Just to let you know in advance, there is no permanent fix for this problem. I haven't had to replace the tape on my JS1000 in months simply because I don't play it that much and I'm not a trem abuser either.

The 'proper' fix is to replace the bushes when the arm becomes sloppy. They're sold in packs of 12 = 6 sets and are quite expensive ( Ģ11 or so) !!
