Question Transform Ibanez JPM P4 into P2

I know a guy that is thinking about to sell his '2000 Ibanez JPM P4.
I thought about buying, the problem is that I hate that camo color scheme.
So I was thinking: how hard is to transform a P4 into a P2 (or any other JPM color scheme)?

about as hard as having someone else refinish it.

Re: Transform Ibanez JPM P4 into P2

I would think that is done by masking, so I wouldn't think it would be that hard for someone that knows how to refinish guitars. You would literally have a life size template to work off of as well.

I just pulled up a picture of it, the camo scheme is rather ugly.

have someone retop it with flamed maple and do your own version of the JPM90Ham. significantly more work and money, but it's the best color scheme of any of the JPMs in my opinion.

I agree... maybe you could trade it for a p2 or something, someone else may enjoy the finish.

OK, no worries anymore.
He decide NOT TO SELL her anymore.

Ooff... so far so good... if he decided to sell, I'd have to buy due to GAS attack...
Even if I DON'T LIKE the guitar !!!

Damn, way to waste a perfectly good guitar... he even put the volume knob in the worst possible place

It does look great indeed, but id have just gone with a new body and use the original neck if it was me...
