Trem Bar and Compressor

Hello,

How r u guys?
I need some advice on my trem bar and a compressor.
I have a low pro edge and my trem bar seem to rotate freely
so its not easily accessible when i want to do a flutter like steve.

Is this normal? Do most players prefer the trem bar to not rotate so freely
so that it maintains the ideal position.
How do I fix that? Should I fix it?

The other question is in regards to compressor.
Which compressor/sustainer is the best one to use for my soloing?

Ben

Try a search regarding trem arm bushing. This question has been asked a lot and there have been some creative answers such as nail polish and such. The trem arm bushings will wear out and you can simply replace them if you don't want to try the home remedies.

Re: Trem Bar and Compressor

Ah, the dark world of compressors! The phrase "one man's meat is another man's poison" applies very well in this area.

Compressors are funny things, some people get on with them and others don't. What one person will regard as a great compressor someone else will say is not so.

Try before you buy is the mantra here! The Boss and Digitech stompbox units seem OK, not sure about higher-end models. Try for yourself.
