I recently purchased a RG320DX on ****. From what i've read in the forums here it leaves alot to be desired in the hardware department as well as the electronics department. My main question is, are the neck & body worth keeping if I deside to upgrade hardware & electronics? Or should I just play it as is untill I can afford to get something else ( which maybe awhile )? Or can I get away with minor uprades such as new pickups & turners. Any advise would be helpful.

Re: Upgrading

I say you should save up until you can buy something pretty good, or just get a 550 and upgrade the pups.

Re: Upgrading

It's all about personal opinion. Personally, I have an RG370DX which I've been upgrading piece by piece and it is my main guitar. I love the neck, the action, and the overall feel and sound of the guitar and wouldn't ever dream of trading or selling it. If you come to feel that way about the guitar, then it's definitely worth keeping and upgrading. But if you play it for awhile and you think that it's just alright but know that there is better out there, then by all means start saving up for something else.
