USRG-TP30 pricing, sanded to raw wood & tung oiled.

Yes I know sacrilegious, I was young and dumb when I did this and regret it.
Having said that it does still look good, it's in great condition (sans the paint removal) and plays amazing.

This is the model with the tension free neck and triple A flame maple top.

I'm at a point where I want to find either an old school USA Custom or an JEM77FP, so I'm looking to sell my USRG TP30.

I just wanted to get a few opinions on what I should list it for?

Can't post a pic or link yet, post count too low.

Cheers,
Nick

Difficult to put a ballpark price given the refinish, but I can tell you that I've owned two of the USRG30s, in very good to excellent and both sold for around $800-$850.

When did you sell? I did a few searches and seems like they've been selling for $1500+? The last one I could find on forum sold for $1800, can't post links.

Admittedly that $1800 sale price was for a mint USRG30TP in 2014.

I sold them both here, and it's probably been since 2012/2013 that I sold my last one. Also sold a USRG10 that went for $750. I used to be moderately obsessed with the USRG series, and keep a pretty watchful eye out for them still. I've never seen one actually /sell/ for anywhere near $1800. Not to say it didn't happen, but it would be pretty unusual to me.

They're not that common these days, so it's tough to put a price on, especially given the modification. Ultimately it's all about waiting it out and getting it in front of that one person that your guitar speaks to, who doesn't mind paying a higher price one that's had the finish stripped.

It would probably help if you had some photos. If you want to pm me some photobucket links I can post them in the thread for you. Or stick around and get up to your 10 post count.

Appreciate the reply, it's difficult to know exactly what they've sold for. Just going on the threads I've seen here.

I'm in the process of cleaning it up, it's been sitting in the case unplayed for close to 10 years. I'll see where my post count is when I'm done if I'm not at 10 I'll shoot you a PM.

Hey Nick, I saw in your ad that you'd consider a trade for another USA custom. Do you have any specific models you want/looking for?

Hmm not particularly, I'd consider any of them. I do like Ice World and Angelsdepart though.
