OOOh, that one's got a beautiful finish, nice shape too.

I'd gladly pay $800 for that

Yep that one sold for over $1,000 on Ebay. *I emailed the guy and basically said he was high saying that the retail price was $3,200 and that they were going for around $700 on Ebay. *He emailed me back and said "even one's that have the tension free neck?" *He's lucky he got as much as he did for it.

This guy's delusional. The phrase people too stupid to live springs to mind. Another fine example of how civilation, left wing politics and the denial of Natural Selection have brought the species to the brink wrack and ruin! :idunno:

Who is the stupid guy? The guy spent $3200? The guy spent $1000 on ebay? or both of them? *I care about this because I am the guy who spent $1000 on ebay for the axe. *I know the fact that the guy spent almost twice the list price for the guitar and nowadays USRG30s in the market usually score between $600~$800, but hey, this fine axe is not an investment to me. I'd really like to try the tension free neck and I really love the top of it. I've been searching for an USRG30 for months, and this is the one. I don't care much about overpaying a little for it since I know there is another guy who paid almost $3000 for a PMC.

Peace

And really thank you guys for information about this guitar. I'm quite sure this is an USRG30, but the seller doesn't even know the model of this guitar. He just knows it's an USA custom made one. For not to become a really stupid guy, I asked this question for some kind of assurance, but who knows, maybe someone knows it's a fake, and I'm still a jerk. *That's one of the risks on the evil-bay.

You can see the specs and retail for the USGR30 here:

http://www.jemsite.com/usa/index.htm

Note it was not $3200...the seller was simply wrong. *I don't have any doubt it's a USRG30. *It seemed to be in fine shape, had a VERY nice top, and it's a color you don't see much. *IMHO $1000 is a bit on the high side, but all things considered, if you end up happy with it, you didn't do too bad. *

$1000 USD is a bit high for the axe, but realistically it would be just about what it would have cost brand new in 1996. So if it was the right color, condition and model for you, paying a few hundred extra is no biggie.

Now, selling for $3000 or more is sheer insanity ...glen

Yes, I've carefully read the spec of USRG30 here on jemsite a few months ago before starting to hunt. It really helps a lot(thanks again). Another story, it seems that the seller has so few experiences doing business on ebay that he bought a hardcase then sent the fine axe to UPS BEFORE I paid. I almost fell over when I got the tracking number. *

The axe has just left Anchrorage and now in somewhere over the pacific ocean *

Anyone who could even conceive that it was a $3200 guitar is S-T-U-P-I-D

That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it, because it happens to be right!

I don't know what happened there... the neck's AANJ profile seems routed wrong. Here's a photo of a more typical USRG neck joint

Alienasia (great potential band name BTW) - $1000 is not that bad and it is a nice top.

Now lemme get this straight - you haven't paid yet and it's on it's way?!?!?!

$3200, sending before payment recieved (not that you won' pay), but, uh I gotta watch and see if this guy auctions anything else!
