UV vs RG8527

Hi, all,

I want to know your thoughts on these two, which one you consider better and why. I have always wanted to have a UV, but was never crazy about the 777BK. Now that I have read the poor sales the UVīs made lately, they might even stop their production, so I was thinking of buying one. On the other hand, I love the RG8527. I already have a RG7CT, but I donīt know how similar they are...

Please, your opinion

Thanks

Re: UV vs RG8527

Well, i have a CT, and UV. Both very unique. There is no doubt that the CT is such a better quality instrument. You can feel it the second you switch between the two. It feels more solid.

However, the UV is more fun because of the smooth neck and middle pickup (yes i actually do use it). Also, i did the schaller/floyd trem arm mod to the UV, but i wouldnt dare do it to the CT, only because i never use the CT trem. I want it to last as long as possible. The UV gets all the whammy abuse.

I myself also wanted a 8527 to join the CT in the collection, but why buy the same guitar twice? Variety is the key!

Re: UV vs RG8527

Essentially, My take anyway, 8527 has neck binding, the ct7 does'nt, I think really it's that simple, along with a quick logo change

Re: UV vs RG8527

The CT guitar would look like crap with the neck binding. Look at the RG7-VV. You got a natural maple top body binding, with bright white neck binding. Yuk. Sometimes, binding isnt necessarily desired, as in the case with the CT.
