Re: V7 V8?

all guitar companies know we'll exchange their pups for better ones.
Unless you like how your factory pups sound.
I never liked .

Re: V7 V8?

V7 and V8s are better than INF1 and INF2s.
However, they're not as good as a DiMarzio or a Seymour Duncan.

If you're playing in your bedroom at low volumes, I guess V7 and V8s are enough.
If you're playing gigs, then you may find them a little blurry and lacking headroom, dynamics and sparkling clean sound.

A pair isn't worth €150. Nor €100. €80 maybe...
Consider that an Evo2 and a PAF Pro on www.thomann.de cost (each one) €79! Tell me: is it worth it now?

Re: V7 V8?

You don't have to get new pickups. Everyones taste is different. If you like the sound of the V7 and 8 then keep them. Yes, many people change their PUPs. I did. But, although we beat around the bush all the time as gear heads, nothing will make you sound better than practice and dedication to the music before the gear. With that in mind, I realize it's fun to get new equipment and I try to do it a lot myself but I never really sound that much better. I think many tiems GAS is started by wanting change instead of true lack of sound or tone.

ive got stock "IBZ" pickups in my RGT220H and I thoroughly enjoy them.
