The Value of a J-Custom

I'm trying to get an idea about how much my J-Custom is worth.

It's a J-Custom model RG8170F BX. The color/paint is black onyx. It's in perfect condition.

I purchased it from Rich at Ibanez Rules back in September 05' for $1820.00.

I am just wondering if the value of these things have stayed the same... or gone up or down.

I'm looking at possibly selling it (damn recession!) and need a rough estimate on what to list it at.

Thanks for your input.

Re: The Value of a J-Custom

I think high end guitars keep their worth most of the time. I'd say around 1.3-1.4k? That's what they're going for on e b a y anyway...

There is a 8420ZDBX on 3bay for 1900, from someone in NY. Poor guitar; JC's deserve to be played until they are totally fretless.

I just posted my J-Custom up in the "Buy, Sell or Trade" section. Thanks for your input on the pricing.

Re: The Value of a J-Custom

After I posted it for sale, some people said the pictures were not good. Here is an updated photo of the guitar:

Re: The Value of a J-Custom

I've been googling the J-customs I have, to try and find a ballpark worth.
There again it also depends where one is. All the J-customs I bought cost loads in customs and postage and the suchlike.
