Viability of an RG7321 as a back-up guitar?

Do any of you guys have an RG-7321 as a backup guitar, and if so are there any issues to worry about?

I'm thinking of buying on as a backup to my RG-1527.

Pickups are the only issue I can think of.

The bridge saddles on mine are eating up strings a little too often for me.
I use 11s and that seems to sort it out till i can affor some descent saddles.

Isn't it spelled "decent", in this context?

yes, it is, roland.

the 7421, the japanese made slight upgrade, might be a slightly better buy- better fretwork. Buta 7321 with a replacement bridge and pickups would be a fairly affordable, solid-playing backup 7.

Thanks for the Info,

I don't think I'll bother buying one, cos to be honest I seriously can't be arsed to change yet another pair or pickups and bridge.

thanks anyway,

If by "backup" you mean something to grab quickly when you break a string onstage midsong, then a stock 7321 should be fine for that. You shouldn't need to change out the pickups or bridge on it. If you really only need a backup for that reason though, I'd get something a little different, that might actually encourage you to slip it into the mix as a guitar for certain other songs. Get something with a fixed bridge maybe (like a Dean or Schecter), and if you need to dive just find a way to wing it If by backup you mean something to use as your main guitar all night for a few gigs while your 1527 is in the shop getting setup, then the 7321 likely won't do. Other than that though, I don't see a big problem.
