Washburn N4 versus Washburn NX3

Has anyone tried out one of the NX3's? I've always wanted an N4 and the NX3 looks just like it. The only differences I note are no pu mounting rings, an additional tone knob and rosewood fingerboard instead of ebony(what a shame.) Of course it's an import whereas the N4 was USA made, and the trem isn't the fantastic Schaller Floyd that was on the N4. The NX6 doesn't have a Floyd so it's out and a new N4 is out of price range.
I can't find a dealer anywhere that has one, and am seriously considering buying one site unseen. At $600 it's cheaper than a secondhand N4, but not by a whole lot.
Can anyone who has played both give me advise on if I should go for it, or should I hold my breath for a good used N4.
Thanks,
Kyle

You'd be much better of just picking up a used N4- I've seen several go for right around $600, and a few for less than that

Used N4 all the way. You won't regret it.

Yeah i too would go with the N4.
The NX6 does look a nice guitar but i feel it is trying to copy the Nuno models a bit too much.

And i dont know too much about it either apart from Jon Donais uses one!

The NX6 is great too, it's just expensive. It's pretty much an N4 with a vintage trem or hardtail, and a non-reversed headstock.

Better pickups too. I wish I could get one, but at what they're asking, I won't be getting one.

I had an N4 for about 9 years, and it was a great guitar. They do however have great big necks on them; much more like an old Fender Nocaster than a Jem and nothing remotely like a wizard. Try to get your hands on one before you buy. They are nice and comfortable, and you get used to it fairly quick, but you don't want to get one mail order and be surprised by that fat neck. Seriously, try one first before buying. And get a swamp ash one, not an alder ;-)
