We finally completed my new 7-string last night

We finished the last of the guitars for the NAMM show last night and included in the batch was my new 7-string. I think this one's going to be with me for a while. I sounds incredible and DiMarzio is building me a custom 7-string version of the Bluesbucker for it.

Wow... that's a lovely top... i can't imagine how it must look in person! What's the top wood on this one?

P.S. any update on the raffle?

The top is quilted mahogany.

And we did the drawing about a week ago. The winner was Robert Ryan (from another site). The total donation was about $2200. We did good.

Beatiful axe as usual.

It would be perfect without the mounting rings...

Thumbs up Re: We finally completed my new 7-string last night

Nice to see someone venture from the goth look of the 7 string norm.

Re: We finally completed my new 7-string last night

I am officially a very happy man.

I only got a few minutes to play the new 7-string before I left for NAMM. It's one of three guitars that I have at the DiMarzio booth. So yesterday was really the first chance I had to give a really good test run. They have a Fuchs amp at the booth and I'm really the only one at the booth doing any playing. It plays beautifully and even with the all the background noise it's easy to hear that this is the best 7-string we've ever built. I believe this is the 35th 7-string I've owned and I feel like I finally have MY guitar. This ine is definitely NOT for sale.
