What to do with my new (used) PGM?

So I stop by the big red guitar store for some strings, and I always cruise the used section to see what might be new. Normally there is not much to choose from, but on this day there was an unusually large amount of used items, and I was told the back warehouse was cleaned out of used gear and GC was trying to blow it out.

So I cruised through everything and saw this.

1999 MIJ model, with some dings, but the white has faded to a nice cream and I picked it up for less than a used Korean RG goes for. However I need another floating trem guitar (or any guitar for that matter) like I need a hole in the head. I would really, really like a fixed bridge PGM, so either I part it out on the bay or drop a nice trem on there and roll with it.

I think on projectguitar.com or something there's step by step instructions to convert to a fixed bridge if you're interested in making the switch.

How much did you end up getting it for?

You could always drop it off up the street in Canton.

Re: What to do with my new (used) PGM?

block the trem, that way you can unblock it if you sell it and still use it as a hardtail...well at least as good as a hardtail as that would be without filling the cavity

cool find.

Re: What to do with my new (used) PGM?

Well I just cleaned all the grime and finger cheese off and restrung with a Lo Pro in it. A little "quickie" set up and it plays real nice of course. The intonation is off by a country mile, but I just wanted to get clean and some new strings on it.

Well if there was another coat of paint on this thing, it would rub in front of the post, but it returns to pitch after a dive bomb now even with the TRS post still in there.
