what do you think of Stagg guitars??

I walked into a small guitar shop in my hometown. 10 years ago, I bought over there my first guitar. At that time there were a few gibsons and fenders and ibanezes haghing at the wall.

Today they have twice the amount of guitars and the only brand I noticed was 'Stagg' This guitars sell for 170 euro's and they make copies of every model you could think.

What do you think of this cheapo-brand? I guess that if I was 16 yo and I didn't have the money, I would also buy something like that because looks were important.

yeah, they seem to have started som major production drive or something. my mate has a jackson soloist copy by them and im not impressed at all. i tried out one of their warlock copies as well, and to me they just reek of cost-cutting and poor workmanship quality.

fast-food guitars... this brand remember me the agile guitars i saw in the harmony central forum

wtf the guitar market in europe is a hell, spain, france and uk had the most overpriced guitars

only germany has good prices

the ppl here now buy a lot in ebay usa and search for the best bang for the euro like with blade guitars

the shops ends with lots of material that dont sell and stock only cheap as dirt models, they suck a lot

I hate em, a mate of mine got a stagg bass and with in a week the stagg logo had fallen out the top! I don't hate them as much as yamaha guitars though, simply because there not bigged up by all the guitar mags like Yamahas are, damn I hate yamaha.

I consider Stagg to be utter [email protected] And I mean [email protected] I have 2 pupils, one with a Stagg and one with a Squier which cost the same. The Squier 0wn2 the Stagg. And lets not start about their mockingbird mock guitar. It's so inferior to human standards

So the reason why Stagg is so popular that all the brandnames are way overpriced in Europe.
Wich kid can afford 1500 euro for a guitar???

Indeed Germany is the cheapest country to buy new and second hand guitars.

Stagg is cheap. It is a line if gear and guitars for extremely low budget buyers and beginners. They are hit and miss on the QC. I have seen and played some that were tolerable and some that just SUCK!!!
The market demands affordable products and China is more than happy to produce it!!
