uh about 1000. Not a lot of difference. Better pickups probably on the 2550 and better electronics all around.

Better electronics? I dare say both use the exact same pots, switch, jack, cap, wires, etc.

Re: What is the MAIN difference between the RG1550 and the RG2550

from what i can see on ibanezwiki, and without going into every different variant, it looks like the 1550 has ibzusa pups and a 3 piece maple/bubinga super wizard neck with a maple fingerboard, and the 2550 has dimarzio ibz rg pups, 5 piece maple/walnut wizard prestige neck, and a rosewood/bound rosewood fingerboard.

oh, and the pickguards are different colours! :P

Re: What is the MAIN difference between the RG1550 and the RG2550

first of all the sound is different , I got the chance to play both of them and 2550 might be more expensive but no offence to the 2550- its a nice guitar but I would go for 1550.
The sound is much closer to fender-ish bluesy rosewood and cleaner than 2550 ibz's muff mudy with a thick end. In other words fat.

The best sound i've heard is on 3550mz... its worth the money if you can aford it and if u used to slim necks (18 mm )
