What is that REVERSED logo? Something wrong w/ this RG270...

One image tells more than a thousand words.
I just saw this RG270 on the guitar store here in SãoPaulo-Brazil.
This is royal blue, Lo-TRS, shark toth...anyway.
I don't have the serial # or more info,
only this pic i got 2 secounds before leaving the store...
I'm pretty shure the logo and inlays are all original.
Is it a lefty neck?
Is it a modded one?
Just curious. Any infos are apreciated!
Thanx in advance,
Tubarão

it's probably just a trick like to make the guitar a bit special. I saw Jackson customs with reversed logo's before. Is there any chance this could be a custom or some kinda customized neck ? Anyway, I like the idea, but it's cooler when the logo is reversed and mirrord. Doesn't get any cooler then that

That looks weird... Maybe it was just photo-shoped or something.

looks like someone wanted to have the 'reversed headstock'-look, got a lefty neck, and slapped the old fretboard on.

Isn't that how the logos on all Ibanez reverse headstocks look? I might be confused, but I thought it was. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok... you're wrong
The picture above does show one that is reversed... even for a reversed headstock.

No it's not.
Reverse headstock necks have the word Ibanez written in the same direction as on standard necks. Check the PG with reverse headstock here or here for a closer look.
The same was used for the RGR (reversed headstock RG guitars) guitars that I don't think made it into the US catalogs but are visible in the 98, 99 (and other) catalogs for Europe. (Page 13 of the 1999 shows the RGR270DXJB)

Damn, Ben beat me to it whilst I was searching for my catalogs!!

Ok, awesome! I wasn't sure, I've only seen a few reversed Ibbys and never really noted the logo. Thanks for the info.

I'm sure it wasn't a mod, I'm sure it either came from the factory that way, or someone got some reject parts and put them together or something. One thing we need to know is where are the side dots? Are they on the bass side or the treble side. If it was a lefty neck they'd be on the other side. I could see Cort doing a lefty neck but with the regular sharktooth inlays just because they wouldn't tool up for the reverse sharktooths. The neck bolts and the AANJ carve would be backwards if it were that way though. Without some serious mods it wouldn't fit the righty body correctly. My guess is that some distributor ordered reverse headstock models of some kind, or it was a limited run for sale. But when Cort made them, they screwed up the logo because they printed it like it was a lefty neck. They don't do much with reverse heads in Korea but they've made a lot lefty RG's over there. Plus I've seen them make those kind of mistakes over there, because the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing half the time.
