What RG is this?

this RG is belong to my friend.







he dont know the serial number.
i'll tell you the serial number when i got it.
the bridge is single locking TRS 505.
the neck joint maybe AANJ.

My first guess is a late model 270 (around 2000 - 2003), the serial number would help.

I own '99 270DX but it had a origanal style single locking trem. that was 2 trems ago.

FC? Factory Cort? Fujigen Corp?

so... it is MIK or MIJ?

i believe this is '96 RG270.
but... korean or japanese?

that serial number is very confusing but it has to be korean.

BTW your mate has the locking nuts around the wrong way, theres little grooves underneath that the string go into.

There are some late model RG270DXs that were made in Japan. They are typically asian market models. Not seen in stores in Europe/US, etc.

well its got a fat korean headstock and a shallow korean trem cavity but the jack plate looks like the ones on MIJ 470s, I dont think many of us know a whole lot about lower end models tho.

^ fat korean headstock? or u mean blunt? I do notice that the higher end guitars have a sharper headstock, whereas the lower end ones are more blunt.

the korean ones are actually slightly longer and alot wider than MIJ.

the easiest way to tell is the tick under "IBANEZ" bows more on korean
