Arrow What Truss Rod Nut buy to replace the existing one?

I have a RG1527z. The truss rod Nut is made from brass and is very weak. I need to replace it because its wearing a lot and Im afraid to roll it.

The problem is that I dont know what Truss Rod nut I need to buy. I dont know what size and what material. I dont like brass because is weak but a luthier told me that other materials can destroy the truss rod.

Stewmac sells truss rod nuts made from Nickel, like this: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Truss_ro...s_Rod_Nut.html

How can I know what Truss Rod Nut buy for my guitar? all opinions are welcome!

Thank you alot, Juan Pablo.

Quit banging on it with a hammer! Sure brass is a weaker metal, but what is your definition of "wearing a lot/" Is it just discoloration?

Re: What Truss Rod Nut buy to replace the existing one?

The details: when I bought my 1527z I tried differents tunings and guitar strings gauges. I used the truss rod alot. The nut was rolled because the brass was of bad quality. I adjust the truss rod in the playing position (to get perfect accurate result) and I dont saw that the truss rod nut was wearing alot. I taked the guitar to a local luthier and he contacted a guy to make a new brass tross rud nut for me. That truss rod nut is the actually that I have. The brass is more weak than the other brass material. Is very bad quality.

For that reason, I want to buy a decent one, the best truss rod nut that I can get. I live in Chile but I can import for any webshop without problem.

And that is! any advice is welcome.
