Arrow What Truss Rod Nut buy to replace the existing one in a RG1527z ?

I have a RG1527z. The truss rod Nut is made from brass and is very weak. I need to replace it because its wearing a lot and Im afraid to roll it.

The problem is that I dont know what Truss Rod nut I need to buy. I dont know what size and what material. I dont like brass because is weak but a luthier told me that other materials can destroy the truss rod.

Stewmac sells truss rod nuts made from Nickel, like this: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Truss_ro...s_Rod_Nut.html

How can I know what Truss Rod Nut buy for my guitar? all opinions are welcome!

Thank you alot, Juan Pablo.

Re: What Truss Rod Nut buy to replace the existing one in a RG1527z ?

I asked this question in another thread. Apparently acorn style is what is used on all Jem guitars. I'm doing this on my phone so, check my profile and see the thread. Hope this helps

Thank you Paul. I checked your thread and wrote. I read that the users replied that the model of the nut is not of relevance, that is a personal decision about with that tool you want to adjust the truss rod. But Im clueless about what nut for the truss rod and from where buy one. This is the first time that I live this situation and I dont have experience.

Any advice is welcome!

Thank you.

It doesn't matter, as long as it's the correct size. Do you need 7 or 8 mm?
I say go with Rich--he's got the actual Ibanez truss rod nuts in both sizes.
