What USA Custom is this?

After years of watching this video I realized one of their guitarist is using an Ibanez USA Custom. Unfortunately I can't really tell which one graphic it is, hopefully someone here knows :P

The band is Vicious Rumors, Post Vinnie Moore.

Excellent riffage and I think at 2:35 he is briefly using a 570 in Five Alarm.. Anyway check it!!

I think it might be this guitar with a different neck:

Might just be an RG760 that he had custom painted. Somebody on here who is into the USA Customs might be able to tell you. I've never seen one like that.

Re: What USA Custom is this?

The neck is identical to the one on my '90 USA (reverse head, sharkies). The graphic does look like it comes from their album art.

Re: What USA Custom is this?

Its definitely some sort of VR band art. Confused as to it being a 760 though, weren't they HSS? HS configuration seems more of a 565.

The middle pickup has been taken out and the cavity filled before it was custom painted.

Re: What USA Custom is this?

Since the bodies arrived at Bensalem with only a bridge hum route, my guess is that it's an endorser sig that was routed to his specs- then painted in his album art. With the 7xx neck on it, we'll never know if the original was a "USA custom" or if it had Mark's signature on it..........l

There's an easy way to spot a UCGR. A 500 or 700 Series guitar would have a tilt neck joint. All UCGR's had the cutaway heel like a Jem.

Re: What USA Custom is this?

My '91 UCGR has AANJ. Not square-heel or cut-away.

I forgot about that.....thanks bro!! Unfortunately you cant see the back in the video.

@Metalhead.....I think he was referring to the '88-'90's. The all had the square "cutaway" heels.

The '91's were really cool.........they could have either neck joint!! Buyers had no idea what they were getting until it arrived.
