For me it's been largely coincidental.

My RG570 was the best superstrat the shop had in my price range.

My Talman was something I'd lusted after for years; one turned up in fantastic condition so I bought it.

My MMM1 was the best specced baritone at the price.

Ibanez exactly fits my mental needs for design aesthetics and concepts.
they just make what i would if i was them: shapes, colors, technological features that others couldnt even imagine, perfect luthiery craftworks, huge attention for details, an almost infinite choice, low prices and, most of all... they're Japanese!

if it wasnt for Ibanez i wouldnt even be a guitar-freak.

I got an Ibanez way back in the 80s. I loved it, and since then (I sold it later) I've stuck to Ibanez. When the possibility to buy a new guitar came up this year, I looked first at Ibanez, found what I liked and bought it.

Otherwise, same as Nuno's reason.

I got lured in,in the late 80's by the Jem series.
The guitar that made me want to play guitar was a Jem 777dy.

That was 15 years ago.
I've tried a ton of other brands of guitars.
I wish I was kidding when I say I've probably gone thru damn near 30 guitars in the last 2 or 3 years.
Some of them are very fine guitars, some not so fine.

I always keep coming back to my Ibanez's.
I like the necks better,I LOVE the RG body style & lets face it ...
the Edge trem just kicks ass.
Even for stock p/ups the Ibanez V series pickups aren't half bad.

These guitars just feel right to me & that's what it is all about.

That....and what NUNO said....

I think they make the most beautiful and playable guitars with trem.
Just check out the JEM, PGM and so forth...nuff said.

and the new retro guitars they´ve made are awesome!
and very price worthy!

Anders, what you mean 'retro': Destroyer- or Jetking-kind of guitars? i'm most for Destroyers than others.
even cause one of my heroes, Adrian Smith, used to play a Destroyer back in the day.

Why? Because they are the best and coolest guitars so far for me tough. They physically and 'emotionally' fit me well and men, can't deny the killer looks.. they are also worth the price.

Ibanez makes a great guitar for the money. Especially if you look at the 70's archtop and semi-hollow copies, the Artists, and the RG line. Just wonderful quality out there. Sugihara-san FOREVER!

The Radius/JS and Sabre/S bodies.

IMO, Jackson matched the Sabre with the early 90's Stealth Professional. But they've never done a JS body. And now they don't do the Stealth either (after '93 or so their Japanese trems started sucking anyway, so it's a moot point).
