Wierd Aging or Relic Issue
Hey everyone, its kyle. I have a question about my ibanez rg. I pay my guitar for relativley 6 hours a day, 6 days a week for the last year I have had it. I have acid hands which may be a contributing factor.
I have recently found that the neck, under the fretboard by about 3mm, around the second fret, has a long, dark green triangle on it. It is a bit rough, quick leads me to believe that the neck finish may be wearing down, even though I hardly play near the second fret.
Also, and the bottom near the AANJ the lower part the neck near the bottom horn has a dry feeling rough blackish-gray staff on it, Nd it is in a corner my hNd never touches it.
The guitar itself is extremely beat up. I have played the guitar so long Nd hard I broke the back springs (I am very abusive, worse than Steve) and 2 whammy bars and a saddle. The guitar finish on the fretboard is already getting shiny and wearing down (just like most maple necks get after ten years) and having the raw wood show. But the green triangle thing is not wear, and isn't a battle scar. The guitar btw is an rg350mp. It only appeared to the first of my knowledge around a week ago. Could the neck be warping? I have never once relic'd the guitar.
