will a gibson bridge fit an epi les paul? - considering a lp

hey continuing my search of a cheap guitar, i'm considering an epiphone les paul custom. i notice the bridge is not like gibsons. the height is adjusted by two screws, whereas the gibsons i've seen have thumbwheels. while the bridge seems good, i assume the gibson is better and shouldn't be that expensive to replace. any thoughts?

i also have a momentary urge to get the epi and get it 'bullseyed' like zakk's...

it should be a semi standard tune o matic bridge. it works the same way as the gibsons, only without the thumbwheels, and ive seen after market add on thumbwheels for that same application (dont know if they would work in your situation tho). I dont think they are really necessary, and you will prolly never have to readjust your bridge once its where you want it. I will, however, help you no more if you ruin the horrible name of epiphone by getting a zakk sprial on it.

and for the record, in my experience, the only difference between gibson parts and most others, is the price. plain and simple. if you are going to change the bridge, there are a host of options out there that you will most likely find that will suit you better than the gibson bridge. get somthing because its better, not because they stamped gibson on it

yes i agree, not gibson maybe but quality replacement. i have a fixed idea: epi parts suck. i'm sure most people agree.
