I don't get the point of a fixed FX rather than a regular hardtail... but I'd take them both. Easily.

Well, compared to an ordinary fixed bridge, the addition of fine tuners is the point I imagine.

Some Gibraltar bridges also feature finetuners. There must be something else to it in addition to the fine tuners.

These beasts were put on display as Rich already said in another thread in order to show the status of their development. I think Buz (owner of the RGA7) mentioned Ibanez wanted to show it at NAMM to see if there was any interest from the public in doing a production version ehich I personally would welcome IF a lefty version would show up as well.

True. I can't really see the point as far as tuning stability goes - FX bridge with top lock vs other fixed bridge with locking tuners. Then there is the total mass of the unit, I assume the sustain is different in some way or the other. Don't own either so I can't really say. Interesting subject though.
