wiring ibanez's 5 way switch

I am a guitar tech and I have a customer that brought in an Ibanez RGA prestige.

he has asked me to replace the V8 bridge P/U with a Bare Knuckle painkiller pickup.

i have gotten schematics for both the ibanez setup and the painkiller, but when i have it wired up the Painkiller is half the volume of th V7 that is in the neck. the painkiller is wired at 15.7k so it should actually be louder than the V7.

when i look closer at the 5 way switch a few wires look to be in the wrong spots but i would rather find a shcematic that shows what leads from the P/U's go to what poles on the switch. (ex. north pole start goes to pin/pole 1 on 5-way switch, and so on.)

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: wiring ibanez's 5 way switch

i've used the schematic for an RG7620 to wire up my RGA:

the bottom one is obviously the bridge pickup...

As for the wiring the BKP, i have my C-Bomb bridge, along with matching neck, wired as: [numbering switch points 1 -8 from L - R]

red, South Pole Start, to 1
white/green, South Finish/North Finish, to 5
black/bare, North Start/ground, to volume pot

Make sure you read the literature that comes with the BKP, as the color coding is different than American pickups..

Sweet. Yeah I had wired in a set of Nailbombs and had the same problem until I realized the hots and grounds were different colors
