Wizard neck repair.

Tackled my 1st cracked neck. Thanks to Richs' tech help it went pretty smooth. Now wait to set up for 24 hours then new strings and see how it reacts.
Started with this.

Didn't take any pics of work but here's the final clamp.

Finished. Sanded smooth. It was an old crack so plenty of dirt under the edges.
Even got some glue in crack from the hole. Bonus.

Cleaned up pretty well. Fretboard has the darkest rosewood I've ever seen.

As a bonus the bridge pickup is an old Dimarzio FRED.

Re: Wizard neck repair.

Any guitar player should be able to work on their own stuff. I think it makes an all around better musician if you understand how all the parts work together. I've gotten pretty good at set-ups but the soldering is a real pain in the arse. The neck crack was pretty simple to fix. A little scary tightening the clamp on the headstock to spread the crack but it didn't make any noises at all so a pretty easy repair. Got an arm holder coming from Rich so should be in tip top shape soon.
