Talking Wizard or Wizard 2 neck?

Hi all... I am new to the world of Ibanez and have a question about the necks. I am looking to pick up a Rg270dx with sharktooth inlays. Can anyone tell me if this is a wizard or wizard2 or different neck all together?

Thanks, Cory.

When did they go to the wizard 2? The one I am looking at is a few years old. (I would like a wizard).

Cory.

Original Wizards go back to the late-80's, not sure exactly when they went to the Wizard II. I've seen the original Wizards sell for $200+ over there on that auction site.
Worth every penny.

Re: Wizard or Wizard 2 neck?

if you want a wizard buy a used older model rg550 or 570 .

I found one at a pawn shop for 175 with an ibanez presige case, a freaking steal , it is the best guitar i have had to date, i like it better than my usrg30, the wizard is truly one of the best playing necks. Ibanez isn't very smart for doing away with them.

The wizard 2 is not as thin or as fast playing, i dont like them too much.
