Woohoo! Just got an RGT42!

Oh man, what a difference a neck-thru makes! I love this guitar! Anyone else got one of these beauties?

I have one at work. When we first got them, I didn't like them too much. But after playing them over and over I grew to absolutely love it!. We have the grey and the red but I think the grey one looks really nice. When we got some VHT stuff in we played that guitar through the stuff and they all sounded great. My only complaint is that the trem feels kinda flimsy and that the p-ups are a little sterile. I think if you through a set of evolutions in there, the thing would just kill.
Congrats on the new guitar man

I picked up a 2002 RGT42 BP a couple of weeks ago. I've named it "Mr. Neck" because it's nothin' but neck..lol.....24 frets and a deep cutaway make playing such a breeze. I have to agree on the stock pick-ups being "sterile".....I was thinking of replacing them with two Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pick-ups...basically a hotter version of the classic Gibson '59 PAF's......and yes, eventually I will replace the Low TRS II with an Original Floyd Rose, if only because I don't like the threaded cap concept with the tremelo arm. Otherwise, the guitar plays great, stays in tune and looks cool to boot.

Yeah, I'll definately replace the pickups. Other than that, I'm loving it. The new trem is great. I set it up for my usual Bb tuning & it just devastates. Only my Steinberger has this kind of low action.

I assume the 2003 model have the the edge pro II trem? I 'm confuse with the spec of the RGT42. Customer reviews at harmony-central have the lo-trs II no matter what year it is.
