Would it be crazy...

I have a RG2570Z in textured vital silver. I am thinking about putting a b/w/b pickguard on it. Am I crazy, or should I leave it alone?

Dude.......................................it's your guitar.
Do whatever you want cause personal tastes are personal.
Crazy would be asking to strangers what you should do

Well, no ****. Just thought I could start a discussion on the subject, or is that something that isn't done on DISCUSSION forums.

Yeah you can discuss what YOU should do with your guitar.
Still it's pointless cause it's your guitar, you should do whatever you want no matter what people think.

Re: Would it be crazy...

Personally I've always liked clear pickguards on rear-route guitars. Just remember, once you put those holes in it, there's no turning back

Re: Would it be crazy...

My vote is for yes it would be crazy, just because you have to put screw holes in where there were none.

Clearly, the only logical and sane thing to do is buy another guitar that already has a pickguard, and it should be an RG550 so you can see what the original Wizard is like compared to the Wizard Prestige. Makes total sense, eh?

I'd leave it alone.
Black 3 ply pguard with texture finish just don't do very well for me.. hey, it's my opinion of course. do what you like on that guitar.

I would go with pink pickups instead.

Re: Would it be crazy...

I think it would look great! I did that with an RG1527 and it came out nicely.

Re: Would it be crazy...

Think he's gone LOL. You can do a screwless pickguard I guess with double-sided tape

Re: Would it be crazy...

Well, I decided not to do it. The reason is that I just bought a '90 RG570, and the 2570 is now going to be put up for sale.
