WOW. RGT42FX

I did a search but it didn't come up with anything.

I can't believe these aren't sold in the US!! But I dont care!! I think I'm gonna start saving and try to work a few of those puppies over here. Besides the FUGLY sharktooth inlays, thats MY guitar right there! Beautiful tops too!!! Damn....if only I were an endorsee....aww....

RGT42 FX stands for what actually, and why is it so WOW?

I'm just curious.

I've seen the RGTs from Ishibashi (SE and FM) but haven't seen the FX.

Because they are neck-thru, fixed bridge, made in Korea so they dont cost an arm and a leg (and are still damn good guitars im sure) and look at those tops!! matching headstock...maple on mahogany(my fav), that justifies my WOW.

...I'm waiting to see if Revsharp777 will post a little review of one. Im pretty sure he posted somewhere that he aquired one.

They're pretty sweet guitars, especially for the money. The quilt top + matching headstock is very nice.

Shame about those inlays, though.

It'd be great if it WAS a mahogany body...unfortunately, it's basswood. Bummer!

Is that a proper quilt top or is it just a veneer?
Too right about the inlays Darren.

MADWELL, I agree. I was not aware of this FX.

But, yeah, the basswood is a bummer.

sorry to bring it back but I've been doing some search about a question I have... in vain!
So, would blocking the Edge Pro II help improve sustain?
this one is cool but its in Japan, and bottom line the inlays I dont like

Lol.

If you wouldnt buy a nice guitar because of the wood type, then your NUTS.

The sweetest sounding guitar I bought was a USA Peavey Wolfgang made of Basswood.

Look at Satriani's tone. Awesome, and what is his guitar made out of, oh, its basswood, so it must suck.

who are you talking to?
edit: btw, prefering this wood over that wood over there is... preference and not being nuts. if there was a neck-thru mahogany neck and body seven string, I wouldnt buy for the sound would be too muddy for me.
