X shaped Ibanez

OK, so I've decided I'd like one of these puppies, but have no idea about model names, hardware, what to look out for, bridge type, years they were made, rarity, etc etc etc...I saw one on ebay a while ago, and the dude Bill from immolation we toured with had one so i know they exist.

Information, please? pretty please?

Hi Rich, thanks for uploading even more scans.

One thing bugs me: I can't find the Artfield models in the 1988-1990 catalogs on your site. On the other hand, they *are* featured in my European 1988 and 1990 catalogs.

How come?

Because they're not in the US catalogs

Well duh!

When they're not in the US catalogs, does that mean that they were not available in the US?

I'm just wondering...

If they were ever available here they would have been a namm special. Lots of guitars never shown in a catalog were available here but I've never seen any homegrown Artfield's so it's quite possible they never were.

The x shaped guitar sounds like a DT-250 or Dt -350.
