Re: yeah! my first ibanez!

Congrats on your new guitar!! I had a RG2127x once and suffered from a similar problem with the trem(more corrosion than rusting). Realistically, everything on the trem is interchangeable except the saddles. But since your saddle is rusted, there isn't much you can really do, at least not without figuring out a way to pop the piezo contact out and popping it into a new saddle.

Might I suggest trying to clean the saddle of the rust? It'll probably help a bit.

Welcome to the world of advantage over other brand players

Have fun with it.

If the trem functions properly,... No need to fix..

Re: yeah! my first ibanez!

Go to the hardware store, get a small bottle of Navel Jelly. It will remove the rust in short order. Just use a q-tip to brush it on the saddle, then a wet cloth to wipe it off. Leave it on longer for more rust removing action. That's what it's made for, removing rust, from anything.

Re: yeah! my first ibanez!

Looks like it could really benefit from a new trem.

Re: yeah! my first ibanez!

planeflux...yep! wish i could change it too but just finding a double edge would be pretty difficult where im from...what i really wanna know is whether the saddle (the square part behind) not the one with the piezo bit is interchangeble with a regular edge...

i've sort of cleaned the rust, but there the metal is not even smooth anymore..think im gonna have to file it or something...

madpickin, i got it from singapore!
