YESSSSS !!!! White FSK in my RG !!!
Hell Yeah people !!!!!
I am beyond myself with joy today and I have decided to share it with my brothers here at jem site who can really appreciate a custom shred axe !
For many years now I have been playing the **** out of it and working on my favourite guitar, my Ibanez RG 2550 MIJ in 2007. The guitar has went through a number of mods, most of them have been removed in the first few weeks, but the ones that stuck are:
1)Locking Stud Mod from Rich (a must with Edge Pro)
2)Goeldo BackBox TremSetter (I had two in parallel to simulate Ibanez Backstop, but the Goeldo is just too stiff, so I'm back to one BackBox and two 47mm springs)
3)DiMarzio Evo2 in bridge (White)
4)Ebony fretboard with tree of life inlay and a tung oil finished back of the neck (the neck is original 2550, just the fretboard is changed with 6105 frets)
The only thing I have been missing for years now is the sustainer. Obviously, I need a white one, since I'm going for Gilmore Strat look (read: Jem 7 PBK) and with the price tag on them, if I'm gonna shell out that much cash it MUST be in the colour of my choice. However, as many people here at jemsite now, the white Fernandes sustainer is difficult as hell to get. Even if you find one, chances are, it's gonna be very expensive, and in my case, it probably won't ship to Croatia.
Finally! Today, I got it! From ebay, ships to Croatia! Price? 300 euros. U mad? Yep.... I'll be eating rice and ketchup for the next few weeks, but man, I'll be one happy son of a gun!
I have some hd pics of my axe on my wives camera. As soon as I get them to my comp I'll post some.
Cheers guys !
PS Any tips and tricks with sustainer installation and with FSK-401 in general are very, very welcome.
