5 way selector to work as a 3 way??

I recently bought a Ibanez RG471AH and I want to buy either some Seymour Duncan Invaders or some Bare Knuckle Aftermath pickups, but I want to take out the middle pickup.I've been reading you have to change it to a 3 way selector to have a HH setup instead of a H-S-H ?

Re: 5 way selector to work as a 3 way??

It refers to the coil on the south side of the magnet. If the pickup isn't installed upside down, this means the coil closest to the bridge will be active.

i have done the same thing i didnt care anything about coil tapping and if your going to have it its nicer with a added switch or push/pull. its easiest to get a 3 way selector stich and rewire it. http://static.zoovy.com/img/guitarel...2hh3l11_00.jpg
