Anyone for scallops?

i have a UV neck spare, one which has a bit of damage to the fretboard in places. Now, last weekend I had my eyes opened to the fun that a fully scalloped fretboard presents. Nice to play, and, well, different

Has anyone got a fully scalloped fretboard, and if so, would you get it done/buy it again? Anyone done it on a 7string? What about the sound, any effects or negligable?

What are the pros and cons? (apart for it being pretty irreversible )

I am debating about it, and it looks like I might just go ahead and do it, but did want to consult the forumites first before I start my next grand plan

I have it on one of my guitars, and it's different to play on.
Since the fingers don't touch the wood, it gets easier to bend and to do vibratos. But I don't think you should try it on a to thin neck. I don't think I'm going to try it on my superthin RG-570 neck!

I did my 7620 neck and I love it, you get like Johan said, better vibratos and you can really dig in to that low B and wiggle it and make it squeal.
I would do it all over again, absolutely !
The scallops have not affected my neck's playability other than you have to be more aware about intonation. As long as you realize a light touch is better, you will really fall in love with the scallops.

I have my UV777GR scalloped from the 15th to 24th frets. I like playing those frets as it makes playing over the fat neck joint easier for my small hands. It's also great to bend tapped notes at that register
