Arrow Formation on Trem

Instead of the usual arrow formation, has anyone tried the reverse, where the springs align at the trem block? Any comments about this?

You mean the springs are spread out at the claw but narrow at the block? Never heard that one.

I've had guitars come in like that. I see no benefit whatsoever and I always just put them back in normal straight formation or regular arrow.

I've been toying around with various combinations lately in my guitars, including the 'reverse arrow', but I've settled on / | \ . I dont know if I'm just loopy on bus fumes or what, but it seems to make the guitar resonate ever so slightly more, and the strings feel that teensy bit more forgiving. It's very subtle, but I guess it's got to do with the slightly different dissipation of vibrations compared to the | | | alignment I've had for the last 10 years. Maybe it's not 'better' but just 'different' and that's what I'm responding to. Or maybe it's all psychological. I dunno. All I know is since I did it I've been able to play the solo to "As I Am" at double speed *LOL*
