Bass side trem post lower than treble side - good to go?

Hey guys,
Setting up the action on an Edge bridge and I noticed that my post bass side (low E) is lower than the treble side. I've read of course that treble side being lower is fine bout what about the opposite way? No buzz coming from bass side and it feels pretty comfortable. Not only that, but I find the post on the treble side is stiff and I don't want to over torque anything for fear of it going through the body (yes, I have made sure to loosen those pesky set screws). What do you think? Thanks.
