If I accidentally spilled some on my guitar neck, what could happen? It's most likely nothing, but I've said that before and wound up in some serious poop.

It was Budweiser if that helps any.

I had beer spill on one of my guitar necks once. It stank for a little while, but other than that, no damage. If you got lots on the fingerboard then you might want to clean it thouroughly (sp?). My guitar also had a lot of finish on the back of the neck so the wood didn't get very marked up.

yeah, it depends on what wood the f-board is and if the neck is finished or not.
but i think that it would not harm anything that much, unless you spilled gallons and let it rest for hours without drying it out.

If it's on the back of a finished neck, just wipe it off and the neck should be fine. It should be fine on the fretboard too; a lot of us have played hundreds of bar gigs and that stuff happens. It hasn't to my knowledge killed a neck yet.
You should be more concerned with your choice of beverage. Try a Spaten or a Harp when you get the chance, and leave the Bud for the drummers .

Actually, my beverage of choice is either Guinness or Labatt Bleu.

I can't help it if the only thing available was pee.

Remember the guy that played doublenecks, like a tele and a steel? Played with a bottle of beer for a slide and foam was just all over the place... Forgive me as I am not that big on the guy's music, but I know he was a big name and an excellent player. Saw him long time ago on Austin... Wanna say Junior Brown, but not sure..
