Best Fixed Bridge for tone etc.

I am building yet another custom, but this time I am going for a fixed bridge.

So what is the best unit for tone?

What is the tuning stability like, bearing in mind I will probably use sperzels?

String through body any better?

I would appreciate any thoughts, unless it is "do a search" because I already have.

Re: Best Fixed Bridge for tone etc.

My opinion? Get one where they're actually seperate bridges, a la these http://guitarworks.thestrandbergs.co...custom-orders/

Will stop crosstalk in the parts and keep your tone clear because each string has its own independent bridge. Less crosstalk means less cancellation of frequencies, means more tone!

The kahler to me seems the exact opposite of this. I wouldn't say its a great idea.

I really like the gotoh GTC10x bridges, as fitted to the PGM.
steel or brass saddles depending on your needs, I have loads and use them on my own guitars, string thru design for me is better.

I was thinking about the pgm bridge originally actually, but I guess I assumed that there might be something a bit more interesting.

I guess if it's good enough for Paulo......
