bridge modification/swapping

one of the most common questions on here seems to be " can I switch my bridge for another one", So I was thinking if we make a thread and tell everyone what we know that can be changed it might help more people out.

So to start, I know:

An OFR will fit into a EdgeIII cavity without any routing or mods to the studs. Intonation will have to be changed

An edge III will not fit into a Low TRS with out additional routing to the cavity, but it does line up with the studs.

Here's what I know and have done.

A Gotoh Licensed Floyd Rose will fit into an Edge cavity without routing. But one must check if the height Gotoh trem block will fit and allow you to close the trem cavity.

An Edge can fit into some TRS cavities. Some.

edge pro IIs are already in rg370s. If you're refering to one with an Edge III, then I don't see the point since they're both pretty much the same. If you're refering to an older model, then you should be able to fit an OFR.

lo pro edge and original edge should go in but the cavity has to be enlarged.

Re: bridge modification/swapping

I'd like to put an original Edge in my '03 VWH. But I would like to know if it is possible. Even if I did get the body routed and resprayed would the spring cavity be too long, or would it work?
