I posted a build thread about a month ago of a padauk tele, well I was actually building 2 teles at the time and I didn't document the other one, but though maybe some of you would be interested in seeing it.
Its a basswood body, double cut as you can see. I used Krylon glitterburst gold. Now I heard some bad things about coverage but thought I would see for myself. Here is the trick with glitterburst.. you have to shake the can as you spray.
If you don't the glitter will barely come out. I heard that some guys had to use 5 or more cans to cover a guitar body. I used less than 2, and these are 7oz cans if I remember correctly.
I cut the pickguard myself, I like the design
. Mighty Mite neck, pickups I got from GFS's clearance section a few years back. They actually sound nice for the 20 bucks I paid for them. Comparable or better than a high end squire or MIM Fender. I did an AANJ and will continue to do so on any future builds.. I just love the feel and its fun to carve out! enjoy!!
