Cleaning A UV1000C Guitar Case (Smoke Smell)

If anyone has any ideas on how to get out cigarette smoke smell from the inside of a case. Is that velvet that lines the inside of the UV1000C? I was going to try some Woolite Fabric and Upholstery cleaner but it says on the can DO NOT USE ON VELVET. Soap & water maybe?

Did you buy that from me?

It's not velvet, but a little air and a good spray of Fabreeze should do the trick

You smoke Rich? That's a bad habit Fabreeze, that must be that stuff that gets smoke smell out clothing, I couldn't think of the name. So it's not velvet, huh? Maybe I'll try that Woolite stuff. T'anks.

years ago i found some serious funk in an old 540S7 case -- it smelled like an animal had died in there. i used Arm & Hammer carpet deodorizer, which is baking soda plus some nice smelling stuff. i dumped it in the case, shut the case for a day or two to let it soak up funk, and vaccumed it out. i did this 2 or 3 times and it cut down the funk a lot, but never killed it completely.

Send it to Rich for a week.

I love ya' Rich! You're the best.

But I'm convinced Rich owns stock in the company that makes Febreeze.
