Question Constructing a custom Body

Hey guys Gonna put together a custom body and i have a TON of questions to ask about doing this.Figured this was best section for this thread
1.What wood should i use?
2.Should I put in a fixed bridge or is it easy enough to rout a tremelo cavity?
3.Should i build a neck too or is it easier to just buy one?
4.If i buy one what kind should i get?
5.What kind of pickups should i put in it?
6.are coil taps easy to wire?
7.What colors should i swirl it?
8.what shape should it be?
9.Is this really worth all the effort?

2) depends on the sound you want and how deep your pockets are
3) depends on the sound you want and how deep your pockets are, but neck construction is a bit more difficult then slabbing a body together.
4) depends on the sound you want and how deep your pockets are
5) depends on the sound you want and how deep your pockets are

7) err.

Re: Constructing a custom Body

Id have to recommend doing a fireman body. RG's and Icemen are far too common. They look awesome too!

Re: Constructing a custom Body

The Fireman arm is just a reversed Iceman arm--you'd have one funky lookin' Iceman!
