Destroyed thread in humbucker. Help!

The screw which is used to raise or lower the humbucker seems to have ruined the thread in the humbucker. Where there should be thread, there's only a hole now. This makes it impossible to adjust the humbucker on one side, which really really sucks.

What can I do?

The humbucker is an old PAF Pro.

You can build up solder around the would be nut area of the pickup to improve the grip.
If that doesn't work, you can solder a nut to the bottom of the pickup for the bolt to go in to.

Re: Destroyed thread in humbucker. Help!

Just solder a nut onto the baseplate. I've done this with a Tone Zone. DiMarzio provided me with a suitable set of nuts when I emailed them. Contact them and they should be able to help you.

Re: Destroyed thread in humbucker. Help!

I tried to fix the hole with solder only, but it did not work for me. The nut-idea should work though! Thank you very much for some great advice! I'll check out some hardware stores tomorrow for the right kind of nuts and screws.
