Does the RG 550 genesis 2018 have an unfinished neck and fretboard?

Hi, I did asked about this in my old thread, but I realized that it was a bit off-topic. So, I decided to ask this in a new thread; if this doesn't bother anyone, of course.

Does the RG 550 genesis have an unfinished maple neck and fretboard?

This is probably a silly question, but I am asking this because I rarely played maple fretboard and I realized that most of maple are finished, but it seems that the RG 550 genesis is not as glossy as my friend's Squier?

Anyway, this information is important for me because I want to clean it properly with the right treatment. Any suggestions?

Please help, thank u very much.

They have a finish but its extremely smooth, nothing compared to what a Strat or Squier have.

It must have a finish on it otherwise it would look horrible after playing it for few hours as the grime from fingers and strings would stain it, satin clearcoat probably, so you can clean it however you like.

My advice would be to always play it with washed hands and let it age gracefully. Use a toothbrush for the dust that'll build up next to the frets.

Hi, friends..Thank you so much for all the input. Sorry for being so late to reply; My internet connection was awful in the last three days.

Btw, Is it true that Naphta can help to soften the resistant dirt or gunk on the maple fretboard? Has anyone tried this and does it really come out with a good result? And can I use the "Zippo" brand?

Sorry for asking more questions. Thank you.
