Re: Edge Zero with ZPS3
The angle of the trem with the ZPS bar engaged is set by the bar/block mate, and the trem will often be at an angle.
With the bar touching the trem block, the first movement of the trem in a dive, the block moves away from the bar, the bar does not move. First movement doing a pullup, the bar moves with the trem block, there is no lag.
On some guitars the trem angle is dead flat with the ZPS set correctly, taking the ZPS out will only change the tuning and trem angle a hair as the tension is preloaded a little bit from the bar against the block. On some guitars the ZPS will be in a slightly different spot and the trem angle will not be perfectly flat with the ZPS set correctly. If you take the ZPS out the tuning and trem angle will need adjusting as before, but trem angle will need to be set perfectly flat, which will not change the action because the action was set with the ZPS in, without flat trem angle.
