electrics cavity - what paint? - the old paint got burnt off

morning all!

as a lot of you know, and as is documented here, I recently transformed my 777DY into a 777BBQ by means of fire. if you haven't seen the pics, go look - it's cool!

but now the guitar needs to be turned back into a working axe, and the first thing that needs doing is repainting the inside of the control cavity.

but I don't know what kind of paint I need! I'm a bit of a duffer with details like this... :idunno:

what do I need, and does anyone have any tips/warnings?

thanks!

The cavities need a few coats of conductive shielding paint.
The "paint" is available at Stewart-MacDonald. (www.stewmac.com)

Apply at least 2 coats and wait 24 hours between two coats.
That should do the tric.

Cheers,
Joten

I have some advice on the subject, Earthman.

Most importantly, and I cannot stress this enough, never ever willingly set fire to the instru... oh. *I see. *Well then yes, the thing with the shielding paint and the stewmac.com and the coating and the waiting. *Yes. *Do that.

thanks to ghesqi j and the shape.

only problem is that the paint plus the shipping to the UK is $44! I'll have a look around and see if I can find any over here.

anyone know where to get this paint in the UK?

cheers,
