Explanation of different fret sizes?

Could someone explain to me the difference between dunlop 6100's and 6105's is the latter bigger? What is the difference between dunlops and say jumbo and extra jumbo fret sizes which other guitar manufacterers seem to use. thanks.

The jumbo and other fret size nick names were just a way for the companies to identify without giving specs.
I don't know if you recall, but many string MFR's used to not give string sizes, it was just reg, mediums, lights XL's etc... not you can buy 'em buy the guage.
I did a google search and found THIS: http://www.edenhaus.com/frets.htm

Which gives a diagram of fret sizes. I have 6100's and 6105's on several diff guitars. those are my preferences.

that site says:

"6105 Contemporary narrow and tall, a very popular choice. Size: .090" x .055"

6100 This is Jumbo, the biggest guitar wire available. Size: .110" x .055"

I think I read somewhere that Mr. Vai chose the 6105 because as they wear, the intonation stays more consistent (because they are tall and thin).
