Floyd rose post issue

hey guys
Ive chucked out my edge III and have got a licensed floyd rose, but when i put it in it fits fine but it sits skew because the one post is closer to the bridge pickup than the other, will this affect the guitar or will i have to modify the post or relocate the post?

Re: Floyd rose post issue

fit the bridge and string up, once u done that do the intonation, u might find that worse case scenario u wont have enough adjustment on one side to intonate correctly as the knife edges seem to be different in design to yr new bridge.`If so then either change the bridge for a correct version or reposition the post that needs to be relocated (not a nice job), i find rather than gouging and tugging trying to get inner collet out its far easier drilling it out. Then take some hardwood and shape it to best you can (or get a nice thick dowel and cut to size and insert it with some glue at the bottom and sides and pack in wood filler in the hole full then push the wood in and let the excess glue/filler overspill out, then smooth off flush. leave 24 hours to set then re-drill. good luck
