Re: Fretless replacement neck for Fender Strat

you have a couple of choicesall will cost you. Warmouth will custom make you a fretless strat neck. Any good guitar tech can either strip off your fingerboard or the fingerboard of any start style neck and replace it with an unslotted fingerboard, or you can hev the frets pulled from your fingerboard, have it re-raiused and the fret slots filled. I would suggest that you reconsider a "fretless guitar" they sound like "SH!#, that's why no one makes them. Trying having the neck refretted as a fretless wonder(flat wide frets like early 70's Gibsons) or saclloping the fingerboard

Thanks with the advice. I realize that it's not to everyones taste, but i love the fretless sound when its approached in the right way. I'm going with Warmoth.

I love that Vai vid with the triple neck JEM. I'm not into removing frets, but I'll definitely installing a sustainer.
